The form is defined by a deep, hand-carved root-like texture, which has been inlaid with a brilliant blue glaze that was then wiped from the surface. This piece was fired for over 48 hours in an atmospheric kiln, where it was blasted with flame, wood ash, and salt vapor at over 2400°F (reaching Cone 13). The rich, glossy surface is the unrepeatable result of this salt-glazing and wood-firing process. Notes: Food, microwave, and dishwasher safe (though hand-washing is recommended).
